This Civil War Model 1856/58 Imported British Enfield Bayonet is an original piece from the American Civil War (1861-65) era. The British Enfield .58 caliber design was widely used during the war, making this piece a valuable addition to any collection focused on militaria or Civil War artifacts.
Pitting is seen on the blade. Grip is made from Gutta Percha with some of this material removed from age.
Features stamp of Knight's head (shown in photos).
