This cast iron newel post was restored by removing all existing paint and rust, sandblasting then powder coated with black satin paint. The ball top finial is currently unsecured to the lower section and does need to be welded together. The bottom base has an octagon shape with a square center.

Measurements: 42 1/2" tall by 8" in diameter with the top ball measuring 5" round.
