This is a 1872 O. Stoddard Brass & Metal Caliper Divider

A fully extended 10" brass and steel caliper/divider has been well cared for. It has removable steel legs, one of which is jointed at the bottom. The upper portion is brass and measures 5 1/4" inches.
The length of the tool can be adjusted from with threaded couplings at the brass ends for holding the legs securely

Excellent condition for age.
