1952 Matching Pair of Male & Female Duck Decoys by R. Madison Mitchell GS00348
Hand crafted by R. Madison Mitchell circa 1952. This pair of decoys are from a large collection recently acquired here in Virginia. Solid wood with both having good amount of paint remaining. Both have stress cracks at the neck and one has two chips which are shown. There is also some crackling on areas of the paint. Signed & dated at the bottom along with additional lettering.
Measurements: Male (brown & black) - 13 1/4" long x 6" wide x 7" tall.
Female (white & gray) - 13" long x 7" wide by 6 1/2" tall.
