Antique Chicago Paint Co. Valspar "Chief Paints" Double Sided Metal Sign
The Chicago Paint Company made and sold this brand of paint. The company was sold to Rockcote Paint of Rockford, Illinois. When purchasing the company, they had inherited many old-time Chicago paint memorabilia - some of which was from the Chicago Paint co. In 1970, Rockcote merged with Minnesota Linseed Oil Paint Co. and changed its name to Valspar. Valspar is very well known in many states in the U.S.
The business logo "Miller LBR Company" is painted on one side of the sign. This was a home improvement company that sold the Chicago paint company's brand "Chief Paints".
The sign is a light weight metal/tin and in great condition for age. It measures 28" wide by 12" tall. The colors are sharp and deep with great design and details. Note: There are some surface scratches on some areas of the sign and are pictured in the listing. There are 4 pre-existing holes in each corner for hanging.
Shipping included in price.
