Large 1920's Wood & Glass Apothecary Storefront Step Back Cabinet & Display Case #GA2016
Incredible step back cupboard from a 1920s pharmacy store. The front of the cabinet has 2 sliding glass cabinets that have a mirrored back and brass brackets. One of these cabinets is missing its sliding glass but can easily be replaced. The cabinets were used to display store products, etc. Below this section are 40 dovetailed drawers with brass handle pulls.
The back of the cabinet was generally used as a workspace and storage area. The left side of the cabinet is tapered to a "V" and inside this space is storage shelving. As you look at the top of the cupboard, you'll see numerous shelves on both sides with a small glass cabinet with the latch at the center and smaller drawers to the left. The flat counterwork space certainly has been worked on - the wood stain is worn in many areas. Under this section are 21 drawers with brass cupped pulls. Many of them have wooden divided compartments. The bottom left is a large hinged cabinet with a latch and once open has a large and deep area with shelves.
Measurements: 60" tall 33" deep 10' 8" long.
