Pair of Restored Cast Iron Art Deco Backplates 8 1/2" x 2 3/4" GS00877

These plates were produced by the Sargent Lock company in the early 1900s and are cast iron with brass trim. They were restored by removing all existing paint on the front side then wire wheeled clean. There is a little bit of rust remaining on one plate which is shown. The reverse side shows existing rust. The tops have a space for a knob set with spindle and trimmed in brass.

Measurements: 8 1/2" tall by 2 3/4" wide.
